HQ is another nice hardcover whereas She-Hulk is the second and last trade from the most recent series.

Two Image Trades Read - mixed results!

Read through both these collections this week. Both reprint 5 issues and both feature some great art.

Unfortunately I found "The Wicked + The Divine" quite boring so I won't bother continuing to get that title. Black Science was slightly confusing at first but I got into it by the end. A usual problem when time and parallel universes are involved!

Blood Runs In The Family

Well it's taken me some time to complete this mammoth book but it was worth it as it was very enjoyable and entertaining. Maybe not as laugh-out-loud funny as previous volumes but, nontheless, good comics.

Two new meaty collections to add to my bookshelf.

Trip to Forbidden Planet

Well for a change I actually bought some stuff from Forbidden Planet. Including two single comics although the "Criminal" magazine (£4.95) is a special edition that I don't think they can duplicate in a trade format because it's done in the style of the old Marvel magazines from the 70s. It looks great and of course I want it as it's by Brubaker and Phillips.

I play Munchkin and so I was curious to see what the comic (£3.15) was like. It took 10 mins to read and was OK.

The Wicked and Divine trade was only £7.50 which compares well to the price of the singles above doesn't it! That's a very similar price to what it is online. I've been wanting to try Gillen and McKelvie's work for a bit so this looks like the right time.

New month - new purchases

Two more new trades to add to the (massive) to-read-pile.

Interestingly, these were bought via Forbidden Planet which is cheaper than Amazon at the moment.
