Wolverine Battles The Hulk
After some delay, it's time to read some more back issues. I'm reading the Spider-man titles but lately it's been the Hulk which has been the key ongoing title of which I am reading the back issues. That's partly because I'm up to the 290s on Amazing which is well into the era when I was buying the title(s). These Hulks from the 1970s are new to me.
What I've read today was this prestige reprinting of Incredible Hulk issues 180 and 181 which are notiable because they are the first appearances of Wolverine and the originals are incredibly expensive for what are actually quite average stories. I have to admit, Wolvie was different from the start. Quite reckless and crazy and not a little interesting. I hope to read upto issue 200 or so before putting the Hulk to one side again and move to something different.

New Purchases for May
More collections have arrived in the post. I'm pleased to have got Mouse Guard Vol 2 (via EBay as Amazon was sold out) so I'll read that soon having just finished vol 1.
The Avengers Masterworks Vol 4 means that I'm just one Avengers Masterworks volume away from a complete run to issue 400. Unfortunately, I've Vol 5 is yet to be scheduled for release in paperback.
I don't know why the Daredevil cover has scanned so poorly. It must be something to do with it being so dark. These issues (12-21) are the first John Romita comics in the Marvel Age.

Mouse Guard Autumn 1152
I've read this today. It was an easy read excellently illustrated by Petersen.
The comic has had consistantly good reviews on "Comics Should Be Good" do I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did.
I've ordered the next volume so I look forward to reading that soon.
I think it's time for some more Batman next and then maybe some Marvel back-issues...
