Another Marvel Masterwork and Powers

Two nice new additions added to my Collection today.

The Cap Masterworks Vol 6 was a good ebay purchase of £20. The stories look very interesting with some lovely Romita artwork.

Powers Bureau is the first trade of the new series. I plan to re-read all of Powers very soon and this and the forthcoming vol 2 will be a nice finish to that run.

Power Girl: Power Trip

I've been waiting a long time for this and it finally arrived today. This reprints all the Power Girl stories by Palmiotti/Grey and Conner.

Will be reading soon and I'm quite happy to re-read material I only read a year ago.

Lego Movie

We saw this as a family the other day.

I guess it was what I expected but would have liked to have been surprised.

The message that lego is there to be creative and not just stick to the rules was probably aimed at me. opps!

Captain America Masterworks Vol 5

I've continued to add to my Masterwork collection with the addition of Cap Vol 5.

It's building up nicely. A couple more Cap volumes ( 3 & 6) are lined up, then maybe some X-Men and finally Daredevil.

The Cap stuff looks great and as I've not got any of this in originals or read much either I'm excited to read it when the time comes.

Marvel Team-Up 23

Yay. I've done it!

Well, I've collected Team-Up issues 1-100 and considering that MTU played such a pivotal role in my early formative years of reading comics, finally completing the run is a big deal me.

Issue 23 is hard-to-find in the UK. Hence it being the last issue for me to get. I don't know if it is because it wasn't distributed or because it featured the X-Men. Maybe both. It was relatively pricey coming in at £6.25 + P&P on ebay. That seems to be the going rate.

Bone by Jeff Smith

 Over the last few weeks I've read all 9 volumes of Bone by Jeff Smith.

These are the full colour versions recently released by Scholastic. I'd read a few of the original black and whites but I'm pleased I decided to read the complete stories via colour versions.

It's a long story many aimed at children with plenty of humour but drama and tragedy play their part.

I'm pleased I've read this as it's regarded as a classic of comic-book literature. In that regard I was slightly disappointed but it was still a good read. Never boring!

More All New Brave and the Bold

Vol 2 now read with my son. And we are halfway through vol 3 to be honest!

A good intro to the DC universse for him!

Order of the Stick

I'm now the (very pleased and proud) owner of the next two volumes of Order of the Stick.

I've read a bit of "War and XPs" online but most of this is new stuff which I will read when I have finished Bone.
